Job Context

 

        AusIS (Australian International School) is an international school serving students from 3-18 years old. It follows the Australian National Curriculum and is accredited by the Western Australian Government. Curriculum framework integrates eight learning areas to ensure a balanced education and a strong foundation for each child. This power of eight includes: English, Mathematics, Science, Health,Technology, Arts, Society and the Environment and Mother language (Bangla) as well.
At the senior level- inspections, moderations and external exams are monitored by the Western Australian School Curriculum and Standards Authority. AusIS is now an IBPYP, IBMYP and IBDP authorized school.

Job Responsibilities

• Under the direct supervision of PYP coordinator and overall supervision of Principal/ Vice Principal, the incumbent is expected to discharge his/her duties and responsibilities are as follows:
• To teach the subject of “Information and Communication Technology” to multinational students based on the IB and Western Australian Curriculum
• To develop unit plans and daily lesson plans by following IB and Western Australian Curriculum
• To design learning contexts, classroom activities and exercises to meet the individual needs, interests, and abilities
• To collect wide range of resources and applying different teaching strategies to aid inquiry based learning
• To develop and conduct different forms of assessments for evaluating student progress in key learning areas
• To liaise with Home room teachers to integrate ICT into Language, Math, Science, Social studies and Geography lessons
• To work in collaboration with school community to design special teaching programs and environment for students with special needs
• To carry out “Duty of care” during recess, lunch and after school
• To keep individual records of students progress and prepare regular student reports for parents and other reports as requested by Principal and Line Manager
• To meet parents regularly to communicate students’ progress or needs
• Establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships with students, parents, and schools
• Assumes responsibility for meeting his/her course and school-wide student performance goals
• Demonstrates gains in student performance
• Provides a positive environment in which students are encouraged to be actively engaged in the learning process
• All work responsibilities are subject to having performance goals and/or targets established as part of the annual performance planning process or as the result
• To actively support School’s Vision and Mission Statements and general policies
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Educational Requirements

• Honors and Masters Degree in the relevant subject
• O' level and 'A' level will get preference
• Teaching experience in ICT at IB Curriculum EC to Grade 5 is must

• At least 3 year(s)
• The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):

• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
  College, School

Additional Requirements

• Age 30 to 50 years
• Both males and females are allowed to apply
• Having IB (International Baccalaureate) PYP curriculum training and experience will be given high preference
• Diploma in Education will be given preference
