Job Context

The Ready-Made-Garments (RMG) Sustainability Council (RSC) is an unprecedented initiative to carry forward the significant accomplishments made on workplace safety in Bangladesh. The RSC conducts structural, electrical, fire and boiler safety inspections, support and monitor remediation, conduct safety training and operate an independent safety & health complaints mechanism available to workers in RMG factories in Bangladesh.

The RSC seeks a Junior Officer Logistics to continue the work of ensuring worker safety in the Bangladesh Ready Made Garment. Reporting to the board of the RSC, the position will be based in Dhaka, Bangladesh

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee daily administrative operations at the RSC store/ warehouse, ensuring efficiency and smooth workflow.
• Assist in logistics planning, ensuring proper distribution and stock availability.
• Assist in store maintenance and upkeep, ensuring a well-organized and clean workspace.
• Work with internal teams to facilitate stock reconciliation and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and submit daily operational reports related to store activities.
• Assist in auditing and compliance checks for store operations.
• Coordinate with relevant internal departments and external parties (landlord, society management, government offices, and vendors who use our store) to maintain logistics and other documents.
• Maintain register for RSC store incoming & outgoing documents.
• Provide support to the RSC front office in handling visitor management system, and external queries including phone calls, and official correspondences.
• Ensure availability of office supplies, manage courier services, and assist in document filing.
• Manage logistics for meetings, appointments, conferences, and other events.
• Handle incoming and outgoing emails, letters, and administrative communications.
• Assist in document preparation, data entry, and maintaining employee records.
• Ensure security and compliance procedures for RSC premises.
