Job Title: Sales Analyst (Assistant Manager)

Job Summary:
The Sales Analyst (Assistant Manager) will be responsible for providing critical data-driven insights and strategic recommendations to optimize sales performance, identify market opportunities, and enhance business growth. This role requires a strong analytical mind, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable strategies for the sales team and senior management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from various sources (CRM, ERP, market research, sales reports, etc.) to identify sales trends, patterns, and insights.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive sales dashboards, reports, and presentations for regular performance reviews at various levels (e.g., daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly).
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales volume, revenue, market share, distribution, pricing, promotional effectiveness, and customer acquisition/retention.
Performance Monitoring & Forecasting:
- Track and analyze sales performance against targets, budgets, and historical data.
- Develop accurate sales forecasts using statistical modeling and other analytical techniques to support demand planning, production, and inventory management.
- Identify variances between actual and forecasted sales, investigating root causes and recommending corrective actions.
Market & Competitor Intelligence:
- Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify industry trends, market opportunities, and competitive threats within the beauty care, personal hygiene, and healthcare sectors.
- Analyze competitor activities, pricing strategies, product launches, and promotional campaigns.
- Provide insights on consumer behavior, preferences, and emerging market demands.
Strategic Recommendations:
- Translate complex data findings into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations for the sales leadership and relevant cross-functional teams (Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain).
- Contribute to the development of sales strategies, promotional plans, and Go-to-Market initiatives.
- Identify areas for sales process improvement and efficiency gains.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Collaborate closely with sales teams, marketing, finance, and supply chain to align strategies and ensure data integrity.
- Present findings and recommendations effectively to diverse audiences, including senior management.
- Support the sales team with data-driven insights for territory planning, target setting, and performance management.
System & Tool Proficiency:
- Leverage and optimize CRM systems (e.g., Sales force), ERP systems, and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, advanced Excel) for data extraction, analysis, and visualization

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or a related quantitative field from a reputed university. An MBA is a plus.
Experience
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in sales analysis, business intelligence, or a similar analytical role, preferably within the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) sector, with experience in beauty care, personal hygiene, or healthcare products highly desirable.
- Proven track record of converting data into actionable business insights and recommendations.
Additional Requirement:
Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, advanced formulas, data modeling).
- Strong experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
- Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and ERP systems.
- Knowledge of SQL for data extraction and manipulation is a significant advantage.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis concepts and tools.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex data to non-technical stakeholders.
