The Security Manager will ensure the safety and security of our guests, staff, and hotel property while delivering a world-class level of service. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive security experience, and the ability to manage a team effectively.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee the overall security of the hotel premises, including guest areas, back-of-house, outdoor zones, and parking facilities.
- Monitor, maintain, and enhance all security systems—including CCTV, access control, and alarm systems—to ensure uninterrupted protection.
- Conduct regular risk assessments, security inspections, and vulnerability analyses, implementing corrective measures as required.
- Lead, train, mentor, and supervise the hotel’s security team to ensure adherence to safety protocols, guest service standards, and emergency procedures.
- Organize periodic training sessions and drills on fire safety, medical emergencies, evacuation procedures, and crisis response.
- Manage duty schedules and allocate manpower effectively to ensure optimal security coverage, especially during peak periods and special events.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all security-related incidents and emergencies, ensuring prompt and professional resolution with minimal disruption to hotel operations.
- Prepare detailed incident reports and implement follow-up actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Coordinate with local authorities, including Dhaka Metropolitan Police, Fire Service & Civil Defense, and other relevant agencies during critical situations.
- Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all guests and employees, responding to concerns with professionalism and discretion.
- Provide VIP and VVIP security support when required, maintaining the confidentiality and service excellence expected in a 5-star environment.
- Implement and oversee loss-prevention strategies to reduce theft, damage, or misuse of hotel property.
- Ensure that all security operations comply with local laws, regulatory requirements, and the hotel’s internal policies.
- Maintain accurate records of security activities, audits, and risk assessments, and prepare regular reports for senior management.
- Assist in preparing and managing the annual security budget, ensuring cost-effective procurement of equipment and services without compromising safety standards.
- Oversee inventory and maintenance of security tools, technology, and uniforms.

Education
- HSC /BBA/Graduated from any discipline but need should be Army Person
- Graduated from Army University.
- A degree in Criminal Justice, Hospitality Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Certifications such as CPP (Certified Protection Professional) or equivalent credentials are an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 8–9 years of progressive experience in security management, ideally within the hospitality or luxury hotel sector. Preferable (Retired Army Major or equivalent rank)

Physical Requirements
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays, to support 24/7 security operations.
Desirable Attributes:
- SC-level security clearance, or the ability to obtain one.
- Experience working in a multicultural environment with sensitivity to diverse guest needs.
