Key Responsibilities
Planning & Coordination
- Determine production requirements based on plant capacity and production specifications.
- Co-ordination with Central planning department (PPC) & Merchandising division for Capacity booking /Order projection in the upcoming months for the material sourcing in Laundry.
- Prepare and manage detailed production plans and schedules for the washing unit based on order priorities and delivery deadlines from the merchandise Dept./PPC.
- Coordinate with Merchandising, PPC, Sewing Units to align daily and weekly production goals.
- Monitor and ensure the on-time completion of washing orders as per buyer requirements.
- Analyze and update washing unit capacity monthly/quarterly.
- Optimize manpower and machine utilization to improve efficiency and reduce bottlenecks.
- Ensure proper machine allocation based on fabrication type, wash type, and lead time.
IE & Process Optimization
- Conduct time and motion studies to identify opportunities for process improvement (Wet & Dry)
- Implement lean manufacturing practices to reduce waste and improve throughput.
- Develop and implement SOPs for each washing process.
- Track KPIs such as machine efficiency, output, rewash rate, and productivity.
- Generate daily/weekly/monthly performance reports and take corrective actions if needed.
- Analyze production variances and suggest improvements.
- Work closely with QA/QC to maintain process quality and minimize rework or defects.
- Provide Support in Manpower requirement /Department wise Manpower requirement rationalization based on target strength ratio in co-ordination with HR Dept. 13. Evaluate staff performance, new operator`s skill assessment, ensure floor discipline, identify training needs and manage their career developments. 14. Ensure proper utilization of resources.
- Lead and supervise the IE & Planning team members under the washing unit.
- Train and develop staff to enhance their technical and analytical capabilities.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

- Masters/Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering/IPE, Textile Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 6–8 years of experience in a similar role in the RMG/Textile industry, especially in the washing unit.
