We seek competent professionals for a  company as GM (Marketing & Merchant) Woven Garments

 

Job Title: GM (Marketing & Merchant) Woven Garments

Department: Sales & Marketing Merchandising

Reports To: Head of Sales / Sales Operations Manager Merchandiser

Key Responsibilities:

Buyer Communication & Relationship Management

• Maintain strong communication with existing international buyers.
• Develop and maintain long-term business relationships with new buyers.
• Understand buyer needs, technical requirements, and ensure satisfaction from sampling to shipment.

New Buyer Sourcing

• Actively source and onboard new reputable international buyers.
• Prepare and present company profile, product portfolios, and production capabilities.
• Represent the company in buyer meetings, virtual calls, and trade fairs (if required).

Product Development & Sampling

• Manage sample development, including tech packs, patterns, prototypes, fit, size sets, and sales samples.
• Coordinate with design, pattern, and sample teams to ensure buyer satisfaction.

Costing & Order Execution

• Negotiate price with buyers and prepare accurate costing sheets.
• Confirm orders and follow through with purchase order placement and approvals.
• Ensure on-time raw material sourcing in coordination with the procurement team.

Production Coordination

• Monitor production timelines and ensure alignment with T&A plans.
• Coordinate with planning, production, and quality departments for smooth execution.
• Attend pre-production and production meetings to ensure clarity across departments.

Quality & Compliance Assurance

• Ensure product quality is maintained throughout production stages.
• Coordinate with QC teams and buyers/third-party auditors for inspections.

Shipment & Documentation

• Coordinate with the commercial team for export documentation, invoicing, and LC handling.
• Ensure on-time delivery and buyer satisfaction.

Team Supervision

• Supervise and guide a team of merchandisers.
• Distribute responsibilities and train junior team members as needed.

Reporting & Analysis

• Generate weekly/monthly reports on order status, shipment, and buyer feedback.
• Analyze sales trends and suggest improvements.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or a related quantitative field from a reputed university. An MBA is a plus.

 Experience

• 15-18 Years in the RMG field

• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
