Job Summary:
The Production Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing all production activities in the facility, ensuring quality standards, efficient operations, and compliance with company policies and customer requirements. The role includes managing resources, coordinating with various departments, and continuously improving production processes and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
ERP-Based Responsibilities:
Production Planning & Execution:
- Oversee production schedules and workflows, ensuring accurate planning and timely execution of production orders.
- Monitor production capabilities and communicate updates to the Director.
Quality System Documentation:
- Organize and maintain documentation for quality systems across production departments, including Sample, Stores, Cutting, Maintenance, Work Study, and Finishing.
Process Monitoring & Control:
- Utilize ERP systems to monitor production activities, track progress, and control processes across various departments to ensure consistency and quality.
Inventory Management:
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and traceability of materials, with a focus on non-conforming materials, using ERP systems for tracking.
Maintenance Scheduling:
- Schedule and monitor the maintenance of all equipment, machinery, and inspection tools to ensure minimal downtime and operational efficiency.
Performance Monitoring:
- Use ERP tools to set performance limits, define acceptable standards, and evaluate departmental and individual performance for continuous improvement.
Non-ERP-Based Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance & Control:
- Collaborate with relevant staff to implement and maintain the company's Quality Policy, Quality Objectives, and Quality Systems.
- Ensure that production meets customer requirements consistently, with an emphasis on product quality.
Resource Management & Coordination:
- Organize and allocate necessary resources for production, including manpower and materials, to meet production goals efficiently.
Workforce Training & Development:
- Identify and address training needs for production personnel, fostering motivation and engagement in line with company policies.
Compliance & Social Accountability:
- Ensure all operations comply with social accountability standards, including health and safety, labor practices, and working conditions.
- Maintain a safe and environmentally friendly work environment, adhering to applicable regulations and standards.
Cost Control & Efficiency Improvement:
- Focus on reducing operational costs, improving manufacturing practices, and enhancing both process and product quality.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Liaise with other departments within the Renaissance Group to facilitate the implementation of the mission statement, quality objectives, and continuous customer satisfaction.
- Consult with the Director before making decisions that could affect corporate plans, policies, or strategies.
Additional Duties:
- Carry out any additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned by the Management.
